Ray and Jatoria both grew up in Grovetown, GA not too far from each other. They went to middle and high school together, but were never really close friends.

They both ended up moving to the Atlanta Metro area after high school. They always had mutual friends so they often crossed paths or chatted on Instagram. Their relationship didn't spark until the world shut down due to COVID. Unfortunately, this was Jatoria's last summer in Georgia. Fortunately, the distance didn't matter.

They took advantage of being long-distance to meet up in various locations as opposed to just visiting each other in their cities. From Mexico, to Vegas, to Austin, they quickly became each other's favorite travel partners.

In 2022, their party of two expanded when they got their fur baby, Kofi, and they were finally reunited for good when Ray moved to Dallas.

They lived separately for about a year as their relationship continued to flourish. In April of 2023, they moved into a townhome together.

In July, Jatoria thought they were going to Atlanta to support a friend at their event. Little did she know (well, she had a hunch), Ray was taking them back to where it all started to ask her to be his bride. Not only did he plan the most special proposal, he surprised her with the people closest to them to witness and celebrate this sweetest moment.

At the end of February, Jatoria and Ray closed on their first house together. They've been having so much fun making their house a home!
